This position is part-time with day and evening shifts available 7 days a week. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operating the register accurately and efficiently.

• Stocking and rotating merchandise.

• Receiving and putting away vendor deliveries.

• Maintaining clean, organized and well-stocked displays.

• Checking product dates and maintaining proper product rotation.

• Keeping counters, coolers, shelving and customer areas clean.

• Completing assigned opening, closing and daily tasks.

• Learning current promotions, featured vendors and fresh arrivals.

• Helping maintain the overall appearance and energy of the Market.

• Following food-safety, cleanliness and Market procedures.

• Completing tasks assigned by the Market Lead or management.

 

Experience preferred, but not required.

This position is part-time. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 

• Creating a warm, engaging customer experience from the moment guests enter.

• Encouraging staff to move beyond a basic greeting and actively interacting with customers.

• Asking new guests if they have visited before and introducing them to what The Station and Market offer.

• Learning our vendors, products and new arrivals so you can confidently make recommendations.

• Communicating daily product highlights, fresh deliveries, specials and featured vendors to both customers and staff.

• Leading the sales floor by example rather than managing primarily from behind the register or computer.

• Assigning and prioritizing tasks throughout the shift.

• Monitoring employee productivity and redirecting staff when needed.

• Making sure employees understand what is expected of them and following through.

• Maintaining appropriate staffing coverage at registers and throughout the Market.

• Keeping displays stocked, organized, clean and customer-ready.

• Assisting with receiving, stocking, merchandising inventory as needed.

• Handling customer questions or concerns professionally and knowing when management involvement is necessary.

• Completing opening and/or closing responsibilities and ensuring procedures are followed.

• Communicating important shift information, employee concerns, inventory needs and operational issues to management.

Retail, customer service and/or shift lead experience required.
